Summary of Position

Detailed Description

The Peters Township Public Library is seeking to fill the part-time position of Adult Services Library Technician.

This position will:

  • Plan and implement a variety of adult programs, in conjunction with the Program & Outreach Coordinator as well as independently
  • Manage nine library-sponsored clubs, including communicating with club leaders, and managing program registrations and notifications
  • Provide reference desk coverage, including assisting patrons in person and via the phone with basic reference needs, library technology, and study room bookings

Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • PA State Police criminal history check, PA Child Abuse clearances, FBI fingerprints
  • Candidates with library or programming experience will be given preference

Compensation and Scheduling:

  • Hourly rate of $15.50
  • 25 – 28 hours per week
  • Daytime hours, one regular evening per week and one Saturday per month, evenings and weekends as needed for programs
