Summary of Position

Peters Township is seeking an individual for the part-time position of Adult Services Library Technician in the Peters Township Public Library. The individual must have a high school diploma or GED, and those with programming and library experience will be given preference. The individual will be expected to work between 25-28 hours per week. Compensation is set at an hourly rate of $15.50. Detailed Description

The Peters Township Public Library is seeking to fill the part-time position of Adult Services Library Technician.

This position will:

Plan and implement a variety of adult programs, in conjunction with the Program & Outreach Coordinator as well as independently
Manage nine library-sponsored clubs, including communicating with club leaders, and managing program registrations and notifications
Provide reference desk coverage, including assisting patrons in person and via the phone with basic reference needs, library technology, and study room bookings

Basic Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
PA State Police criminal history check, PA Child Abuse clearances, FBI fingerprints
Candidates with library or programming experience will be given preference

Compensation and Scheduling:

Hourly rate of $15.50
25 – 28 hours per week
Daytime hours, one regular evening per week and one Saturday per month, evenings and weekends as needed for programs
